A radio-controlled model is a model that is operated with the use of radio control. All types of vehicles imaginable have already had RC systems installed in them, including cars, boats, planes, helicopters, and even scale railway locomotives. You can readily find RC parts for these vehicles by going online through the Internet. Radio control electronics have basically three essential elements. The transmitter is the controller which includes control sticks, triggers, switches, and dials that are usually located at the user’s finger tips.

The receiver is typically mounted in the model itself, and is designed to receive and process the signal from the transmitter, translating it into signals that are sent to the servos. The number of servos in the model will determine the number of channels the radio must provide. Typically, the transmitter multiplexes all the channels into a single pulse-position modulation radio signal. The receiver demodulates and demultiplexes the signal and translates it to a special kind of pulse-width modulation used by standard RC servos.
