New Features for RCs

RC toys have been around for some time. There are those who still remember their first remote control boats using metal reed switches to resonate with the transmitted signal and operate in one of a number of ways. Along came transistor-based equipment. And then integrated circuits that allowed for smaller, lighter and cheaper vehicles. In the 1990s miniaturized equipment became widely available, allowing radio control of the smallest models.
Now, RCs are still alive and strong. This time they have been further miniaturized and supplied with a built-in gyro. The inclusion of the gyro helps it to stay locked in the direction it is facing and offers much more precise movement. They are also adding interesting features such as a tiny embedded video camera that can capture amazing video with the press of a button. I wonder what they will come up next.
